More than just a marketing slogan
A little bit about our heritage bred pasture raised pork. While pork these days has been bred to be very lean flavorless meat, heritage hogs are just the opposite. We take pride in our heritage breeding because we are bringing back the flavor and quality to what should be pork. Our hogs spend every minute of their lives outside whether its in the farrowing pens or turned out on acres of pasture. Heritage bred hogs are naturally fattier so their meat is far more tender and boasts tons of flavor! Because of the higher fat content, it's hard to overcook heritage pork (not the case with the lean, commercially raised stuff).
